Mary served from 1989-97 in Costa Rica. She has been ministering in Venezuela since July of 1997 and has seen several projects move forward, including the establishment of the first Latin America Child Care School in Venezuela.” Latin America ChildCare (LACC) is a broad based Assemblies of God ministry to young people across Central and South America. At LACC schools, sponsored children are given uniforms, hot meals, a Christ-centered education, and basic medical care. Thousands of LACC graduates now serve in key positions in their communities.
Mary plans to establish a national LACC office and continue expanding the program in the country. She will also continue on the teaching staff at the Bible school. In addition to teaching at the local Bible School, Mary has also had opportunities to preach and to hold educational seminars.
Currently Mary is living in Costa Rica, where she started a Childcare Program for at-risk adolescent girls, called Chicas De Promesa.
Chicas De Promessa is a girls empowerment club. It is a safe place for them to study, learn new skills, and have fun.
